Popular Post Snowy79 Posted March 25, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 25, 2022 I loved travelling in them but had a few squeeky butt moments whilst doing it. This photo I took from the tailgate of the one I was flying in along the Iraqi/Syrian border in 1991.

I still remember my first ride in a Huey with no side doors. Sitting on that narrow canvas bench with feet hanging over the edge, a super thin seat belt, and holding a M16 between my legs. Pilot took us into a hard left that had me looking down into the ocean. That was about 50 years ago and I still remember the fear.

Dunna nuffink about them but Wikipedia says: Quote The Boeing Chinook is a large, tandem rotor helicopter operated by the Royal Air Force (RAF). A series of variants based on the United States Army's Boeing CH-47 Chinook, the RAF Chinook fleet is the largest outside the United States.[1] RAF Chinooks have seen extensive service in the Falklands War, the Balkans, Northern Ireland, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
