The PAF uses the AS-211 light jet combat aircraft in attack and surveillance missions. The air force emphasized that not only does Camposano-Beran know how to fly, she is equipped to fight air-to-air, air-to-ground, and air-to-surface in the AS-211, The PAF’s first female fighter pilot has reportedly flown 150 hours in the AS-211. Once Camposano-Beran clocks in 300 hours in the AS-211, she will transition to the FA-50PH aircraft, the PAF’s primary jet fighter capable of speeds of Mach 1.5. Camposano-Beran comes from the PAF’s 5th Fighter Wing stationed at the Basa Air Base in Floridablanca, Pampanga. She graduated from the Philippine Military Academy in 2015, belonging to the SINAGLAHI class, and finished her training at the Philippine Air Force Flying School in 2017.
