Imagine a 5ft 5 Filipino with a gun way longer than his arms... its an interesting site..but those guns are serious. Those are the guards I never even look at. The reason is that that RCBC is a bank note repository with armoured trucks (or armored for the others here ) entering and exiting to Basement 4 for note counting, and thereafter distribution. The guards in our subdivision are similarly armed, or I should say each guard post has 1 guard similarly armed.

Popular Post starrt Posted November 9, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 9, 2023 Hi all, Most of this thread has been enlightening about condo living in the various parts of the Philippines. To remain on topic here are a few things about our condo. We live in a gated community of condos bult and managed by DMCI. Upon moving in, either as an owner or tenant, one has to go through an orientation talk at the property management office, and sign papers that essentially say that all of the rules and regulations of the condo, which are in a small booklet, have been understood. The rules are primarily to try to ensure thatt all residents can enjoy their stay, short term or long term, and that any infringements are punishable by fines. Whether this is doing construction work after hours, dogs defecating in the hall ways, or whatever, etc., all infringements are punishable. Since Covid, deliveries, except for gas, water, and laundry, are not allowed inside the main gate. This is usually ok, but sometimes can be offputting as most banks here, when sending new cards to clients, never give the courier phone numbers, so we never know when it arrives, as most couriers don't think of just asking the gaurd at the gate to let us know they are here. Any service or work can only be done between certain hours, and the unit owner/renter has to get a gate pass for all outisde tradespeople. The property is very well maintained, patrolled, and secure. We are not logged in or out, our movements are not monitored, and most times when we leave and arrive in our car the guards wave hello to us, even the ones we don't know that well. Non-residents have always had to pay to use the swimming pool. Parking spaces are available for purchase with the unit, of for rent sometimes. All of the authorized vehicles have stickers, which allow them entry to the complex, and allow them to park in ther assigned spaces. I value my personal privacy, I value my personal freedoms. Aside from 1 or 2 very minor nits, overall I feel safe and secure here, I can go and come when I please, nobody is tracking my movements. My wife and I consider ourselves very fortunate to have "lucked" into buyng this unit. Thomas 6

This was a costant problem. Now I tell the bank to hold my card and I will collect personally. The courier that BPI uses is beyond useless... they regularly state ( sorry, lie ) they have tried to deliver... even when Ive left clear written authorisation for Concierge staff to collect on my behalf.

Lazada, and Shopee packages are picked up just inside the main gate. Any prepaid packages not picked up are left at a guarded location and the residents can pick them up there later. For any other package deliveries the residents have to go just outside the main gate to get their package(s). Appliances, furniture, etc, are allowed entry as long as the resident fills out a delivery notice.
