Also wireless meaning bluetooth, good. Wireless meaning battery-powered brings a host of issues I didn't want to deal with.

Am I wrong in that every wireless speaker needs a power source?

They do, not only to amplify the sound but to operate the transmit/receive side of the house as well.

Right, because you asked for wireless like the JBL 5.1 Modern soundbar external speakers connect with bluetooth. Some are battery powered and some you plug in. I chose the Samsung because it gets used frequently and the last thing I needed was low-bat speakers that required charging.
longway Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 I have a Polkaudio sound bar with a wireless subwoofer. Sounds good on TV and Great on Spotify. My ENT tells me after testing that I need hearing aids. I wonder what it will sound like if I bite the bullet and get the aids? Hearing aids are not cheap and from the guys I know that have them a bit of a hassel with batteries and cleaning.

OnMyWay Posted September 24, 2022 Author Posted September 24, 2022 I might be back in the market for a TV. Our 7 year old Samsung 55 has a bright spot on it. Kind of like if you pointed a small flashlight at it. It is only about 2 inches across and not that noticeable, so I will live with it for now. Wow, thanks! And that makes sense because my wife said she first noticed it after we took the TV down and took it to the shop. So a reflector might have been knocked loose.
