BrettGC Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 Just a quick note to let the Aussies know that Auspost is now talking to Philpost again. I had a mate send me stuff, it took 24 days from Melbourne to Dumaguete "express" post. Biggest holdups were 8 days in customs in Manila and 4 days sitting in Cebu City - no movement in PI on weekends. 1.5kg for $55AUD but that was merchant/business rates so you an probably add a third to that cost as a private sender.

Never knew they weren't talking? I had stuff from Victoria about 3 months ago. Only took about 8 days if I remember correctly.

They have been since about Feb, this is the first time I've tried since the pandemic though (no flights), during the pandemic they stopped altogether. 8 days is pretty good, faster than DHL will quote. Pre-pandemic, it used to take 7-10 days to get stuff to my missus in Dumaguete, so I'm putting this current experience down to an anomaly maybe?
