My wife and I opened a joint account just last week in Metrobank and it was smooth sailing because i had an ACR. Same with my lone accounts in Metrobank and BPI. Edit: With ACR/Proof of Address and Passport I'm pretty sure you'd get an account no problem. I think the word "consider" was used loosely by the bank staff. Tourist, not married, planning on staying in Phillipines for several years.I have talked to several banks. One bank wanted $60,000 deposit others said i have to have a Residential ACR. I was here in 2020 and had a ACR card......been here 3 months Immigration told me to get ACR near the end of the last 30day visa extension.
