I had such an experience in the UK of all places.  My Boss was an American who insisted on having the steering wheel of his company car on the wrong side . On more than one occasion I had to suffer the amused smirk of my boss as I went to the wrong side of the car.

haha I love hearing these type of stories as it can happen to anyone & although you look silly at the time it’s always great for a laugh later. Years ago I remember I was an expat living in central London & my girl & i caught the tube home after the weekly shopping.

There was two football games on & when got on I though Wow is this even legal as it felt like we all had to take turns breathing as the car was the fullest id ever seem!

our stop came up shopping in hand & I grabbed my girlfriend with the other and pushed my way out of the car thinking how well I’d done, then turned to my girl and said, it’s not that hard see. It was another lady that I’d grabbed & she was not happy as she couldn’t get back on... After apologising profusely she eventually saw the funny side thank god.

i waited on the other side of tracks for my girl to return looking rather sheepish when she returned haha.

You said that the girl you grabbed and pulled out was not happy, I am more curious how your girlfriend that was left behind reacted??? 😂

My peepers are not too good at the moment, whilst shopping with the wife in a large grocery store we got seperated, anyhow I asked the girl next to me what she just picked up she said feta so I picked up some butter and put it in her trolly. She said excuse me that's mine, then I lifted my face shield up and it wern't my wife. I said sorry I thought you was my wife.  

She was not amused.
