One of the reports I read said it may have been a missile that was hit by anti-missile fire that caused it to go off course.   Seems a bit of a stretch but I suppose it is possible. Another scenario being considered is that someone made a mistake or the missile was faulty.  The skill set of the Russian military being what it is, the latter seems more likely in my opinion.

I'd go for the stray missile probably fired in defence first but it does appear to be a very dirty war and the option of a False Flag for added support shouldn't be dismissed as I've seen more than my fair share of contradictions from boots on the ground there.

I doubt Poland wants to turn their country into a killing field like Ukraine has become.  If there is a diplomatic way out of escalation I am convinced they will find it.

It was probably a stray missile either deflected by anti-missile counter measure or a malfunction.  The problem is the Russians will never admit it.  This one will more likely be dismissed as unintentional.  It's future, similar incidents that are problematic.

Latest info from US suggests it was fired by Ukraine at Russian incoming missiles.

Yes I was reading that earlier due to the tragectory of the missile it could only have been the Ukrainians. There's unconfirmed reports that when the news broke of a missile attack on a NATO country France surrendered.

Now both Poland and NATO suggesting it was likely fired by Ukrainian forces.

Just as well we didn't go all out on Russia based on Zelenskyy's initial comments - we'd all have more than egg on our faces by now.
