Well that explains all the traffic jams.  When merging, Filipinos will attempt to get so close to you that their mirror is slightly ahead of yours.  If you then go forward and hit their mirror they yell at you.  I yell back and push their mirror, but according to your report I am clearly in the wrong.

Same here in Dumaguete area, Organized Chaos that somehow works. Been back to driving here for 1 week and seem to have gotten the feel for it now.
