German nabbed for drugs in Makati

MANILA, Philippines — A German man was arrested after 16 sachets of suspected opium poppy seeds were found in his person in Makati on Thursday, the Southern Police District (SPD) said yesterday.

Kuecuekboga Sueleyman, 37, was initially pulled over by traffic enforcers along Arnaiz Avenue for violating the number coding scheme.

According to the SPD, Sueleyman refused to cooperate with traffic enforcers, “became unruly” and refused to show his driver’s license, which led to his arrest.

The sachets of suspected opium poppy seeds were found during a subsequent body search, the SPD reported.

The German faces charges of disobedience to a person of authority and violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

I would think planted drugs would be shabu, cocaine, or grass.  I suspect he, or a partner, planned on trying to grow the poppies here.  On the other hand it would be stupid to argue with police over a traffic issue if you were carrying anything illegal so maybe it was plant?  But expecting to grow poppies here to create opium and/or heroin is kind of a dumb @ss plan so maybe he is/was stupid?

Pretty easy for a cop to make this type of stop when the evidence of your wrong doing is bolted on both ends of your car.

The majority of the poppies shown are not opium variety which is Papaver somniferum.  And I suspect those that claim to be selling Papaver somniferum are lying and selling regular poppy seeds, other seeds, or maybe nothing at all.  It is not like you can complain to anyone in authority if you got cheated when trying to buy something that is not legal.

I wonder why they suspected opium poppy instead of some other kind of poppy or flower seed.  Looks like a trumped up charge to get back at the guy for being  "unruly” with the traffic cops.

I never heard of cocaine and opium and not even weed in the Phillippines. Al you always only see is shabu, christal meth. What they smoke in a pipe but mostly on silverpaper. I tried it, specialy wenn having sex its realy nice. But if you get caught doing it you go straight to jail. I am not planning to do it ever again. If the police knows you are into it they will send you their favorite asset, a girl a minor so not yet 18 yet carrying shabu. But she will look older you will have no idea its a minor. So you sleep with her and use shabu than you pay her and she leaves. the police is outside and rushes her to the hospital to get your sperm sample. And than they come knock on your door, charged with having sex with a minor and with a drugtest they proof you took shabu. Goodby for a verry long time.
