JJReyes Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 Possibly the closest community with a concentration of expats is Los Banos, about 7 miles from Calamba or 20 to 30 minutes' drive depending on traffic. This is the location of the University of the Philippines, College of Agriculture (UP - Los Banos), the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) and HQ for multinational companies with factories in Laguna. The area is also famous for hot springs. By the way, during WWII, civilian Americans, Canadians, Australians, Brits, etc. were interned at the College by the Japanese military. Freebie Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Plenty expats in Nuvali area. See them all sitting in various coffee houses there... because there sure as heck not a lot of fun entertainment type places out there in that sanitized Ayala world. Yea, a group of expats get together next to the entrance to Robinsons in Nuvali about 2pm or so for a few beers and lies
