Walking away would not terminate his financial responsibility to wife and/or children.

And yet we live in a country where thousands have second families and have totally abandoned the first.. kids who have never ever seen their father and probably dont even know his name. Yes there are laws that supposedly ensure fathers support their kids here.. but enforced.. naahhh....not even 1%.
