JJJ Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Is there a Philippine brokerage that accepts foreigners? Col Financial does however foreigners can not trade US stocks, only Philippine. Similar story with the HSBC here. Yes, I know I can open one of many US based online brokerage accounts. My question is specific to Philippine based companies. I am not interested in local stocks. Dave Hounddriver Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 (edited) I do not understand the difference you are making between US based online brokerage firms that cater to International clients, (such as IBKR), and Philippine based companies. What difference does it make? Please elaborate. I ask because I do not believe any Philippine based companies will allow trading in US stocks but IBKR will. Philippine brokers tax you going and coming as well as taking commissions far beyond that of brokers in more developed countries. Philippine stock brokers are like stepping back in time 50 years with a lot of corruption thrown in. Buyer beware.
