Forum Support Popular Post Mike J Posted October 20, 2023 Forum Support Popular Post Posted October 20, 2023 Historically all nations has a high birthrate and children were expected to provide for their parents in their old age. As national economies improve, birthrates drops as incomes increase. As the economy continues to grow pensions, social security, life time savings, etc. lesson the burden on children to care for parents. Currently "first world" economies have low birth rates, in some cases so low there is fear by government leaders that their population will shrink without immigration and the economy suffer. In other "developing countries" (used to be called third world) the economy sucks big time while poverty and birth rates remain high. Poor countries = high birth rates and children are expected to care for parents in their old age. Rich countries = low birth rates and children (generally) are not expected to care for parents in their old age. The world is what it is. WTH are folks arguing about? 5 1

Not necessarily true, see the baby boomers; the economy boomed, and the birthrate boomed. And why wouldn't it in family oriented nation like the US was? It didn't just end naturally, it was policy against the traditional population that started the downfall of the culture, and anecdotes aside, that policy has only gotten worse. For a variety of reasons those in power that subverted the West haven't invaded the Philippines, and again anecdotes aside, the culture, people, religion, and family values here remain unified, and strong. The result, a very well-deserved sense of pride and peace that I'm happy to witness daily.

As somebody who spent his entire adult life defending the democracy/Constitution you moronically/ignorantly continuously smear, can I ask you to give it a rest. The USA is not perfect by any stretch, and we have had issues to overcome in the past, have issues in the present and will have issues in the future, but we seem to persevere. You condemn Europe and the USA and talk like the Philippines is some Utopia that the rest of the planet should bow down to, makes me wonder 1. if you have fallen on your head, or 2. Have so much hatred for the USA that you will gravitate to any place that is not. Everybody has a right to their opinion, I believe that to my core. We all know how you feel already, why do you feel the need to continue your repetitive rants daily/weekly? 1 2
