Just keep it simple is my advice. For every year she wants to make up she will pay £150 if she was working during that time or £850 if not working. The break even point is either of those numbers divided by £5. It was a no-brained for me as I am at the £150 rate. Actually, they have never asked for proof I'm working from the time I applied until today.
