rikstick4493 Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Hello, a few months back, I needed some dental work done and I had a bad experience in Mandaue because the dentist did not completely deaden my tooth because he was in such a hurry. His office was more like an assembly line--getting patients out as fast as possible. Can anyone recommend a dentist in the Cebu area that is more like an American dentist? It’s been a few years, but when I lived in Cebu I used Green Apple Dental Clinic and was very satisfied. Of course YMMV. They’re located in Ayala Mall, on the terraces, level 1.
Erik Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Dr. OLIVER SENO, This Dentist I did meet in person, with girlfriend, it’s a small location but cheap for me. Mine impression for Dr Seno was positive, the man is an senior dentist. Good persoon too. The waiting room was full with Philippines clients waiting. Busy dentist. First visit for consul was for free, so you know what it will cost and possible to fix. http://cebudentalimplants.com/content/about-us From hearing; There are a lot dentist at the doctors clinics at the 4th floor of Robinson cybergate building which is around fuente circle/rotunda, near Ramos street. #Al22tecc Goodluck! Forum Support Mike J Posted May 17 Forum Support Posted May 17 My wife and I have gone to Green Apple at Ayala for many years. Most of our visits were for six months cleaning but I did have them do a crown and one extraction. Their fees are higher than what many other dentists charge but well worth it in my opinion. A friend used Dentaland in Ayala Central Bloc and was happy with their service. I think there's one in both Ayala malls.
JJReyes Posted May 17 Posted May 17 I needed a dentist last February in Cebu and found one at the 3rd or 4th floor of Ayala Mall Central Bloc, IT Park. Simply walked in to make an appointment and they had an available dentist. Took less than 20 minutes. Charge was PHP4,000 for one tooth. But nothing beats Ecuador. A team of three (two were orthodontists) came to our hotel room and they set up their equipment in the living room area, including a dental chair. My wife and I were charged $100 each for the service. We told Ecuadorean friends about the wonderful service, and they asked, "How much?" When told, the response was, "You were robbed! Home service should only cost $60 each and you are also entitled to a 20% senior citizen discount." We just laughed. Our Ecuadorean friends would go into convulsions if we told them how much US dentists charge.

Trying to avoid a toothache due to cabin pressure changes on the airplane, I had visited a dentist in Los Angeles, who claimed he could not save the tooth. He would have to do a root canal with a minimum of four appointments. Estimated cost was $3,500.00, possibly more if he finds another problem while drilling. Less than $100? That's dirt cheap to me. I don't mind paying the Gringo price since it was obvious I don't speak Cebuano. Only Tagalog. Problem solved in less than 20 minutes. The tooth hasn't bothered me again.

You cannot compare the LA price to the local price here. My wife had an extraction a year back and the cost was well under 2,000php.
