Will a Alien Certificate of Registration do as a non-expired government ID? If so it didn't work for me 3 times I gave up.

Did you try using your drivings license as well?   I really have no idea though, just thought I'd look it up and read what it stated.   Supposedly foreigners are absolutely authorized to have gcash

I can't remember it's two years since I tried. I've not come across any foreigners qualify for G-CASH.

I have a fully verified GCash account but I've had it for years, they've gotten stricter about verification I understand.

I tried several times last year to verify my gcash account. Passport, ACR, driving license were all rejected. Then I tried Maya (paymaya) and was able to verify my Maya account with my passport. Nothing else. As I said, that was last year. I don't know what it's like now. Maya may not have quite as many acceptance points as gcash, but their savings account has good interest, better than any bank.

This is exactly right - they have gotten much stricter and I suspect have an unofficial blanket policy now of not verifying foreigners.

Let's be real...the only verification they do is check the ID is valid so there is very little scope to reject foreigners' applications anyway.

Not only do they accept the ACR, it's the only ID they accept for foreigners  - no passport (no address of course) and no driving licence (no idea why). When you click you're a foreigner it brings up the list of acceptable ID and there is only ACR. If you click as citizen you'll get a few other options.

Yes, everything states foreigners can have yet other than one of us nobody has been able to. And they were historic.

Have you been asked to reverify since? I understand periodically they require this.

Once a couple of years ago, I used my ACR card and it went through OK.

Hi, pleased to say did mine last week and was pretty painless. Used my ACR and British passport and fully verified. No problem then obtaining the GCash Visa card. Only problem was the photo, second time did it outside and they accepted it.
