Lee Posted June 8 Posted June 8 A similar thing happened here in T Town a few years back. Before she passed, my MIL would only see one doctor who treated her for over 20 years. When the doctor passed it was found that he was an X-ray tech who had never passed the board exam. The doctors office was always packed the few times that we took MIL in for treatment. Quote A 61 year-old man, who gives out prescription, consultation, and delivers babies in the past 20 years, was nabbed by agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for practicing medicine without a license, according to the report on John Consulta on "24 Oras" Friday. According to the NBI, they were approached by a former staff member of the suspect who confirmed that her former employer was not a licensed physician. He received patients, gives medical advice. He also prescribes and sells medicine at his clinic. The NBI also said the suspect has been pretending to be a doctor for 20 years and has many patients. GMA Integrated News tried to get an on-camera statement from the suspect but he declined. However, during a conversation with GMA Integrated News, the suspect said that he took the Medical Licensure Examination twice but failed in both times and that his intention was to help people. Nolasco-Illescas said the suspect faces several complaints. This article Man practiced medicine for 20 years without a license, arrested by NBI was originally published in GMA News Online. That would/could depend on their Status here for instance, I am on a 13a Visa ( by marriage) now a permanent Resident so Do not need a Work permit for that type of work SSRV Holders are the same
craftbeerlover Posted June 8 Posted June 8 quack quack doctors practice without impunity here, all over the country, on a daily basis. Although you dont need a prescription for saliva on the forehead, or smoked banana leaves waved over your body, it is just as dangerous.

JJReyes Posted June 8 Posted June 8 How many of his patients filed a complaint? It seems like a former (terminated?) staff member turned him in.
