f5m9v6 Posted July 17 Posted July 17 I have to activate eSIM before i land in PH. Is providing my ID to https://www.lazada.com.ph/, and calling a friend of mine (1 time a month) enough, to keep an eSIM (digital SIM) activated; until i land in PH? Any issues using a Globe eSIM (digital SIM)?
Forum Support Mike J Posted July 17 Forum Support Posted July 17 Using the card does not keep it active. It expires based after 30 days if registered to a tourist.
techyy Posted October 5 Posted October 5 To activate your Globe eSIM, it’s best to visit a Globe store in person. Buying it from Lazada might not fully activate it, as Globe needs direct registration with your ID. Making a call once a month should keep your eSIM active, but ensure it’s properly registered before using it. To avoid issues, contact Globe directly to confirm the activation process while you're still abroad.

Yeah...when you buy from Lazada for example, aren't you just buying the sim - it still needs to be registered just as it would if you bought it in a Globe store here. Once registered, I'm sure buying load from Lazada works just fine.

The text recommends visiting a Globe store for eSIM activation, as buying from Lazada may not ensure full activation due to the need for ID registration. It also suggests making a call monthly to keep the eSIM active and advises contacting Globe directly, especially if you're abroad, to confirm the activation process and avoid potential issues.
