So far, so good but I wouldn't recommend you get it with the Windows 11 O/S installed because I think it's a customized IMG file. You can get a bare bones version with no O/S. I bought one of those a couple of months ago. First thing I did was to delete the windoze and install debian. Works great.

Forum Support Tommy T. Posted August 4 Author Forum Support Posted August 4 Thanks, all, for the good advice and suggestions. Actually, I used Windose 95 for at least 5 years after they stopped supprting it. I think that was in the bad old days of having Norton A/V. Never again - too bulky, too slow and way too much marketing. They used to be good, but not any more in my opinion. So I think I will trundle along with W-10 for a while longer, purchase BitDefender and also load up on ubuntu or Linux. I can probable figure it all out, but I am getting tired of frequently changing mobile phone apps, desktop apps and hassles with the two factor id business My decades of computer use have taught me that, "new and improved," is not always so. As much as possible, I will stick with my dinosaur ways for a while.

Yeah, but you still had to pay the windoze tax.

Windose/Windoze, Canadian vs USa spelling? ;) lol Tommy T., you can run Linux from an USB drive without installing it on your computer, just to try it out. Since there are so many different varieties of Linux, find one that works for you before installing it, if you want to install it. 1
Forum Support Tommy T. Posted August 5 Author Forum Support Posted August 5 I just am currently installing BitDefender. So far, so good. It is simple to load and is now scanning my machine for issues. For a similar cost to Kaspersky, I am happy. But I was happy with Kaspersky - possibly not good in the long run with the Russian invasion and other attacks. So Bit Defender seems to work and be okay.
