If only all/several neighbours would get together and make a collective complaint (to the Barangay) these issued would not get out of hand and become personal. Unfortunately,  it's often the case here folks are unwilling to complain and leave it to someone else  - often the foreigner if there is one.

And it's the foreigner who gets a bad name. I won't complain for that reason. Could end up meeting thy maker. ( Lose-face) Remember where you are!

Sounds like heaven.

Our HOA has a no roosters rule... a couple of weeks ago I saw a couple of chickens running across the road inside the subdivision.

Hoping it's not the thin edge of the wedge or I'll be seeing how many road kill I can make riding around the subdivision lol

Agree and it can work.  We did that and it worked.  Wrote a letter in both English and Bisayan inviting neighbors and local barangay officials to our house.  Had about 30-35 people show to include a police officer and two barangay captains and their respective seconds (maybe a vice captain).  There were two captains present because there was a dividing boundary between our house and the house causing the problems.  Issue was drinking, extremely loud music, going on until 2-3 in the morning.   Explained what was going on, action already taken, and neighbors also spoke.  One captain went to the problem house that same day.  Police officer said to call them if the problem continued.  We did in fact call the police on multiple occasions and they showed up each time.  Took some time but the problem was eventually taken care of.

I posted a thread about the destruction of the rainforest across the river from our property by filthy rich people.

As a of the destruction of the forest a blessing is unfolding.

Because their habitat is destroyed the bird life has come across the river to our property and  settling in the fruit trees and stands of Banboo that we have left alone to grow.

I reckon that the birds know that they are safe from feral cats as the 3 Belgians kill any cats that they find on their property.

There is even the small finch like native bird  the “Mea Mea “  that is nesting in the backyard in front of where we have coffee in the morning.

So they are safe until the next rich prick wants to destroy things.

We see the same little finch birds here now too. And many other birds. Our property is a sanctuary for many birds and indigenous plants. It is a small oasis in an area where so many people just enjoy destroying old trees and anything green - except money. It is very irritating to us, but nothing we can do. So we have been planting even more trees and bamboo.

We also see some tiny birds that seem to be the Filipino version of hummingbirds. We see them just now and then and they are a delight to watch.
