Lee Posted September 8 Posted September 8 My aged Globe wifi finally quit on me so we bought a new one at the Globe Store. There have been a few changes since we bought the old one apparently that we are trying to figure out. With the old wifi if you wanted to look at your prepaid usage, you typed in the wifis IP address, log in and there you go. The new wifis uses an app called GlobeOne to monitor usage. It was designed to work on phones only. The Globe website states that to use the GlobeOne app on a PC you must first D/L the MEmu app, install it, and then DL the GlobeOne app and install it. As per my custom, I hesitate to DL any apps on my computers for any reason. Does anyone have experience with this situation? If so, I would really like to hear about it before I proceed. Thanks. Lee Posted September 8 Author Posted September 8 To continue. The sticker on the bottom of my new wifi suggests that to access it you must type in the subnet mask of the unit. When I do so, I get the following. This to me appears to be the Globe app that is required. Though cut off in the screen shot, the screen continues on with numbers that populate either up or down as required. The right hand side of the screen has a login feature as you would expect. The user name/password listed on the bottom of the new wifi doesn't seem to work. Again, any ideas? (Please recall that this for a PC and not a cell phone) I'm trying to avoid going to the Globe Store again as usually they are ineffectual with anything out of the norm. Thanks. BrettGC Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Can you login to your globe account in a browser on your PC and check there? Or does that point you towards the app well? I suspect the latter and you've already tried, hence the posts.

Using the wifis subnet mask as is listed on the bottom of the wifi points me to the app that won't allow me to login.
hk blues Posted September 9 Posted September 9 (edited) If you are talking about Globe prepaid wifi, we bought one a few weeks ago and this is what we did - The modem comes with a sim and a 'phone number' - this was detailed on the back of the modem. We already had the Globe One app installed on our mobile for our prepaid wifi so it was a matter of simply adding the new number. Once done we could then load the number as we would a phone using the assigned phone number and check the usage/balance on the app. Actually, we didn't add the number - the Globe staff did this as they already had to register the sim so all was done at once. The only part I wasn't sure about was receiving the OTP confirming registration but as modems have a different number prefix they seem to deal with this somehow - maybe no OTP required or we designate a phone number to receive the OTPs? If you're not talking about prepaid wifi then ignore all of the above! Also, all of the above refers to using the app on a mobile phone - I haven't used it on as PC as it seems too complicated compared to using on a mobile. I would recommend installing it on a mobile rather than a PC. Edited September 9 by hk blues 1
Lee Posted September 9 Author Posted September 9 Yes, I'm talking about prepaid wifi. We are now trying to load the GlobeOne on a cell phone. It is not going well. What 'phone number' on the wifi are you referring to? The SSID number perhaps as I see little else on my unit.

The one on the bottom is the one with SSID etc etc whilst the one on the back shows the mobile wifi number - It begins with 0954. Without this number I cannot see how you will be able to load the device with credit. Also, they must have used this number to register the Sim - I assume they did this at Globe for you as even the prepaid wifi Sim needs to be registered?
