JasonK Posted September 25 Posted September 25 I didnt search the forums to see if this was already addressed, but here is my experience with Johnny Air. First, set up an account at JohnnyAir. Its easy. Find their shipping addresses that are available. I bought a Pixel 8 Pro from Amazon and had it delivered to Johnny Air's Delaware address. Use the Delaware one as there is no state tax when shipping there. I didn't see if there were other options like Oregon, or Nevada, etc. But I would assume those work as well. They messaged me and asked if the phone was for personal use. I said yes. This is important as it makes it like when you walk in with the phone in the first place. No tax, no duties, etc. Anything over 10,000 php coming into The Philippines is subject to duties and taxes. Which is why when you order from Amazon you want to keep your orders below 10,000 php but over $49 for free shipping. For items over 10,000, use Johnny Air. Johnny Air then shipped it directly to my house in Davao. Total shipping time Amazon to Johnny Air was a couple of days. Processing time and re ship by JohnnyAir was a couple of days. Shipping time Johnny Air to Davao was 10 days. All in all it was around 17 days. Easy process.
OnMyWay Posted September 25 Posted September 25 Excellent info! I assume the Pixel 8 Pro was over p10,000? How much did Johnny Air charge for their part? I need a new laptop. Doable? Laptop prices are much higher here.

graham59 Posted September 26 Posted September 26 I have used 'ShippingCart' in the past, who run a similar service (UK and other countries). Worked fine, but of course there is a shipping charge. This was for items I'd bought on eBay. Worth it for hard-to get (here) items though. For example, I have lots of Xbox games, but the consoles I have for them are, and need to be British. I don't know if they're open to customs inspection here in the Phils (value was less than p10,000 anyway).

I asked this question on another thread (I-phones) when the topic of shipping them here with no import taxes despite the product being over 10,000php cropped up. It seems to me this wouldn't be legitimate but what do I know? Possibly some off-the-record arrangement between customs and the shipper.

I suspect that they are doing the same as LBC / Shipping cart. I found this article about Johnny. Interesting but it does not reveal how they do it: https://www.thediarist.ph/how-and-why-johnny-became-johnny-air-cargo/
