Things have been cut ( robotically ) and need time to heal and readjust. instead of having two nerve vectors, you now only have one... flying on one engine so to speak. Plenty of chemicals out there to help when the need/urge arises . If I can help with more info, PM me.

These things can affect division of assets and custody I dont think the land or house in Bohol will become part of division of assets as we know the foreigner cant own land and does the US legal system have any say over a property in another country which will be in the wife's name anyway. Just asking as I'm not sure how it will go.

What I'm going to ask for is not the house or the land but the money I gave to her to buy land.

I read a court case many years ago where a foreigner won his rights to financial compensation over land he bought for a girlfriend in the Philippines, but either way it's a bargaining chip you can use to your advantage so she doesn't come after your US finances or to lesson the hit. US Courts/Lawyer have zero jurisdiction. They/you can include the language but it is not enforceable. You would have to hire a lawyer in the Philippines. You cant get any of the money for the land (unless of course she gives it to you), but you are entitled to 50 percent of the house and anything you both purchased since you were married. Having said that, she does not have to sell the house - no sale no 50 percent. She really has you over a barrel in the Philippines. This is not entirely correct, there has been cases, where providing the foreigner has financial prove his funds bought the land and dwelling an order can be made in his favour. I was involved in a similar situation some time ago, rather than face a court the case was concluded in mediation to my benefit. Many use a sweeping statement the foreigner has no chance bla bla...... I concede its long uphill battle although can be won by a foreigner. 4
