Popular Post OnMyWay Posted Saturday at 11:19 PM Popular Post Posted Saturday at 11:19 PM I thought this was interesting.... AYALA TRIANGLE GARDENS 📍 Ayala Triangle Gardens, Makati In the middle of Hacienda de San Pedro de Macati of the Zobel de Ayala family, Nielsen Airport was the center of air travel before WWII. The airport was decomission in 1948; and was returned to the Ayalas for development. The runways were converted into roads which now form the Triangle's boundaries: Ayala Ave (SW), Paseo de Roxas (NE) and Makati (SE) -- and was called Ugarte Field. The area is now an urban park. 7
Freebie Posted Sunday at 03:13 AM Posted Sunday at 03:13 AM and slowly but surely over past 40 years bits have been lopped off for Ayala development. Its not even a triangle anymore. Its the only green place though in Makati aside from the two smaller parks in Legaspi. Nielsen tower was a Japanese police station during WW2. JJReyes Posted Monday at 07:46 PM Posted Monday at 07:46 PM During my childhood, we use to explore the area looking for spent WWII cartridges. The Nielsen Tower is still existing. It is now an expensive restaurant serving really good seafood.
