To be honest Brett, I do not remember if they charged us a fee or not. Nothing pops to mind that they did seeing that it was the "same" bank. Even if they did at the time, it sure was convenient.

hk blues Posted October 23 Posted October 23 I always do a bank-to-bank TT - conversion from GBP to peso done here (Phils) rather than there. The rate seems close enough to the online rate to not make me feel I'm being screwed much. I don't actually know what my bank here (BPI) charges as I just see the total amount in pesos hitting my account, but it cannot be much. My UK bank charges £35 - hefty but as it's just once a year I can let it go. Hits my account in 1-2 days from what I can gather.
JJReyes Posted October 23 Posted October 23 I use Wells Fargo Bank. For remittances to yourself or family members, they charge $5 for $3,000. For larger sums up to $25,000, the service fee is $35. The main requirement needed for the larger sums is the SWIFT code (series of capital letters) of the receiving bank.
