Being here in Bicol where we survived the last Typhoon. I am keen to follow the next typhoon’s progress.

So I am looking for a meteorological service that broadcasts the tracking in English  please folks .

I use a combination of Windy hurricane tracker: https://www.windy.com/-Hurricane-tracker/hurricanes/kong-rey?16.720,132.012,5,i:pressure,m:enTajJt

And WestPacWx on Youtube.  Robert Speta, the guy that runs the channel,is no nonsense and no sensationalism.  He's an ex-USN meteorologist.

Just on the current situation it should be noted that Trami never developed into a typhoon but remained at tropical depression level.  Given that Kong-Rey's barometric pressure is a fair bit higher than Trami at its worst, the various meteorological agencies are predicting the same,  But hey, it's the weather, nothing is certain.

Yeah it diwas, but those 1, 2 and 3 aren't classified as typhoons.  They bought it in line with similar systems around the world in 2022.

I lost some respect for Windy this last storm, as far as rain predictions.  To be fair, I think all those tools use the same data with different presentations.  That Ventusky one appears to offer more for free than the free Windy.

I was trying to use Windy to forecast when we would get heavy rain, using the thunderstorm level.  It was way off.  We could be covered in RED thunderbolts and barely raining.  Then other times, it was blue no thunderbolts and an absolute downpour!  There is a big margin of error.

They just present the data feeds that the various national weather agencies stream.  You wouldn't have had any more success on any other sites as they all do the same thing just with different user interfaces and varying colour schemes.

Meteorology is a murky science even with the super computers it has behind it providing and interpreting the data.
