Stick to Fried chicken which they do well. I remember going to Shakeys in 2019 and though the pizza was pretty Decent. My recent trip in 2023 the pizza wasn't edible. One of the girls, said even Shakeys changed their cheese. Good quality cheese is mandatory for a pizza. End of story. If you don't have it, its not pizza. @JJReyes We have delivery pizza a couple of times a month - we pretty much stick to Angel's Pizza, S&R and Shakey's. I guess one man's meat is another man's poison as I am a big fan of Shakey's - we had it last Saturday evening in fact.

My wife and I ate one small slice each and stopped. Barely edible. The housekeeping staff at our condo building was happy with the gift. Pizza here is horrible, but this is not the US or Italy either. My wife and I are extremely disappointed 85 percent of the time. Cheap ingredients, extremely kuripot with the toppings, sauce and "cheese". Not sure how to describe the crust most of the time. They put no effort into the sauce at all, which is (in my opinion), the most important ingredient, or at least a tie. But again, this is not the northeastern USA (best pizza btw), or Italy. I remember ordering pizza in Thailand with the same results.

There is a continuous debate whether Chicago deep dish pizza or New York thin crust is best. My two cents worth observation is: New York is a snack. Chicago is a meal.

Overwhelmingly New England Pizza (NY Style) comes out on top, with the best Pizza's made in Connecticut.

On a worldwide basis, the best pizza is Napoli (Neapolitan) where the pizza was supposedly invented. That's the claim of Italians, but what do they know?

That's the claim of Italians, but what do they know? I had pizza in Naples at a couple of places where they claimed it was original recipe. No cheese involved. One waiter asked me what I thought of it. I said,"It's OK but there have been improvements made in the last few hundred years." He said he knew but it's what the tourists want. Works for us, simple and not expensive to make but we sell for high price Edited 2 hours ago by Possum

Ach, I get it but it's only Pizza - It's not even your own dish!
