OnMyWay Posted Saturday at 02:04 AM Posted Saturday at 02:04 AM (edited) I have a misunderstanding with my workers today on their start time, so I am waiting at our meet point, Planet Gas. PNP / Olongapo sets up a checkpoint right in front of me. After a while a guy pulls up on a motorcycle to meet a lady and two small kids. Off they go, right in front of PNP. VID20241116093110.mp4 So 10 minutes later this trike pulls up with two small kids. No danger there! Driving my kid to school, I often see one of those tricycles with a cage on the side full of gas canisters - it's obviously a business. Similarly, I sometimes see a motorcycle with an attachment over the handlebar with a gas canister either side. Surely neither is either safe or legal? Maybe they are empties but I have my doubts. Yes, we have those. However, they don't usually have tiny kids with the tanks!
Forum Support Mike J Posted Saturday at 10:51 PM Forum Support Posted Saturday at 10:51 PM Seeing four, even five, on a motorcycle is quite common here in Moalboal, some with helmets, some not. The ones that spook me out have a toddler standing on the seat between mom and dad. Mom is in the rear and holding onto the little ones waist. As far as the gas canister, not sure how else are they going to get it home? I take the empty down and get a refill using our multicab van.

I put the gas cans inside my car, carefully braced, and get them out ASAP.. My point was, two tiny kids holding the can next to the opening of the sidecar. Odds of something bad happening are low, but I would never put my kids in that situation. Accident, or going too fast around a corner, or they accidentally twist the valve, etc.

Of course that's worse but plenty of tiny kids in the vicinity should they go bang!
