Jim333 Posted yesterday at 02:15 PM Posted yesterday at 02:15 PM I am new here, and I know this conversation is older, and not an expat "yet", but my wife's family is in the Northern Cebu province, and I am searching for prices for well-drilling to get them a well. I have found 2 companies that seem legit, but would like any advice anyone can give me on beginning this venture, cost, reliability of companies, etc. Thanks to everyone ahead of time. Jim333 Posted 20 hours ago Author Posted 20 hours ago Great, thank you! I wanted to add that I am very familiar with, having designed and installed my own well pumping systems at other properties (after they drill of course), and just finished building my 140' submersible here on my property in SC. I am just trying to find someone reliable close to the province, as the province where my wife's fa,mily lives only has one well at it, and my father in law (he passed away last week there) had to get 5 gallon containers every day when the government stopped pumping during dry times and scheduled outages. Forum Support Mike J Posted 16 hours ago Forum Support Posted 16 hours ago Welcome Jim. Can you provide additional information as to the area/town where the wife's family lives. It is possible there are forum members close by who can give you a better idea of what is going on and/or offer help. What is the reason the existing well is not producing? Is it failing or is new demand exceeding supply, are they going to deepen the existing well, etc.? Members in the area may also be able to point you toward a reliable driller. It is very difficult to get trade work done here without being present. Also it sometimes happens that a company will say; "We can do that, 50% up front", then they ghost you when they have the upfront money. I think it is great that you are wanting to help the wife's family. Unfortunately it can be challenging to do so remotely. Hopefully the forum can get you some answers.
