Both suspects are from Oklahoma.Senior Superintendent Benedict Lopez, Cagayan de Oro City Police Office chief, said the 2 were already undressing the 15-year-old girl when police barged into their hotel room.Lopez said the operation was conducted after a 17-year-old girl informed the Cagayan de Oro City police of the Americans' modus operandi.He said that according to the girl, she was convinced by Naquin to have sex with her with a promise of marriage and P16,000 cash.The girl alleged that Naquin went missing after having sex with her. Yeah, it is really hard to know who did what in these situations. My feeling is if you are foolish enough to be in a hotel room with an underage girl, you deserve whatever you get whether you were setup or not. Its not rocket science to find a girl of legal age to spend your time with. Thousands of guys do it every day here. I feel that guys who do that in order to get a girls virginity or just to get into her pants, deserve what they get. A woman scorned can often be a major problem and those that come to the Philippines for just sex with young girls deserve what they get IMO and I just hope that the police do step ups for arrests of actual pedophiles and stop all the phony set ups to just make money, but either way if a guy is in the room with an underage girl then he deserves what he gets. There are plenty of bar girls for those guys to have sex with, they do not need to do it with young girls who they lure into their traps.I also read it that there were two guys with one 15 year old in the room, to me that screams pedophiles. I only wish hotels would report activity like that to the police and that people would not turn a blind eye to that type of goings on. Most hotels or pension houses that I have been to in CDO have rules forbidding that on the back of their room doors, so they should make the phone call to the police when they see that and let it be known that they will not tolerate that type of behavior in their rooms.Sorry to those who may not like my strict point of view but I just do not like sex tourism and I detest pedophiles. I have read many news stories of Filipino fathers being accused or incest or raping their own daughters, so it must happen often and it is not only foreigners who end up accused. As for the pedophiles, all foreigners need to be extra careful when dealing with women they bring back to their rooms, but I suspect that for every one of these stories we read, there are tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands that do it all the time and never get arrested or caught. I think the key here is a woman scorned can often lead to the downfall of a man, no matter what country they are in, so be careful who you piss off.
