Why is this world so stuffed,is it not normal to help someone in trouble??Nah,, Not these days,it really beats the shit out of me what it will be like in 20 years :thumbs-up-smile:...........A 15-year-old girl in the US has been brutally beaten at a public bus terminal while three security guards stood by and watched.Footage of the incident was captured on CCTV and shows the victim being jumped from behind by another girl directly in front of the yellow-vested security guards. The victim can be seen falling to the ground of the Seattle bus tunnel before she is surrounded by other teens who start robbing her of her belongings, ABC World News reports."I went to the security and told them that these kids were trying to jump me," the girl told investigators in a statement obtained by the ABC."I know that I am about to get jumped and I am hanging around the guards to try and get protection.""I thought the security guards would defend me."The teenager who kicked the victim in the head simply walks away from the scene of the attack.Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident and the policy that requires security guards to "observe and report" instances of violence. The victim suffered cuts and bruises from the attack and is recovering.http://au.news.yahoo...ty-guards-watch

It dosn't make me proud to be a resident of the Seattle area. I'm really not sure what the security guards feel that there job is, holding the door for people? Up in the mall above the transit center the girl apporached the police for help and they told her simply to leave the mall, did nothing to help her. This world is going down the flusher714_full_of_crap.gif Doug and Sally

I think its unfair to blame the security guards in this instance. The article clearly states that they are reviewing the policy that requires security guards to "observe and report" acts of violence. It sounds to me like the authorities told their guards not to intervene in cases like this. The policy is wrong, but it sounds to me like these guards were doing the job they were there to do. Between risking their job and physical well-being if they got involved, I can understand why they stood by.I was walking down the streets of Baguio and saw someone get robbed and knifed in plain view of the police station and the security guards at a BDO branch. Nobody intervened to help the victim. Apathy towards the plight of others is not unique to any race or nationality. Its the way it is in most places now.
