Hope he was not heading for the Philippines :AddEmoticons04230: A plane passenger has been kicked off a Canadian aircraft because of his "brutal" body odour. The US man boarded the Air Canada Jazz plane at Charlottetown, in the eastern province of Prince Edward Island, on February 6. But within minutes taking his seat, passengers on the Montreal-bound flight began complaining about his stench, the National Post newspaper reports. Passenger Penny Walsh was sitting beside the foul-smelling man, who has not been identified. "People were just mumbling and staring at him," Ms Walsh was quoted saying. "The guy next to me said 'it's brutal'." Ms Walsh, who described the whiffy passenger as "unkempt", arranged to be moved three rows away to escape the stink. But Air Canada employees eventually decided to escort the man off the plane. The incident delayed the flight by 20 minutes. A spokesperson for Air Canada confirmed the man was kicked off the plane but did not why. "I can now confirm that a passenger was deplaned from one of our flights in Charlottetown on February 6," Jazz Air's communications manager Manon Stuart said. "However, for privacy reasons I cannot provide specific information on the passenger involved or the reason for the deplanement." The man flew out on another plane the next day.

Hopefully he took a bath and changed his clothing before the next flight. I have seem some older people go into a restaurant we were in and then the whole place stunk, luckily they were not sitting next to us. I often wonder if peoples ability to smell themselves change with age or with them continually smelling. I know that people who smoke in closed places cannot smell how bad they and their clothing smells and only after they stop smoking do they then realize what others had to put up with. I also remember when I worked managing a night club just how bad I smelled when I got home and got out of my car in my garage and then how bad the garage then smelled the next day from leaving my clothing in it overnight. Now they have Frebreze spray that cancels out odors on clothing and in cars, but in the case of the guy above maybe dipping him in it might have helped. :lol:I can see it now, all airplanes will now have Frebreze as standard equipment. :AddEmoticons04230:

This is a very big reason for people to keep themselves clean and tidy all the time.If that passenger were here in the Philippines, he would be loathed by people.I hope he was made to understand well that he had to clean himself up before he could fly to his destination. It must be a tough job for the person doing the explaining to him, holding their breaths any-help.gif
