Forum Support Old55 Posted November 5, 2010 Forum Support Posted November 5, 2010 Last April we used a bunch or air miles and spent time at both Shangri-La and Imperial Palace Mactan. We were able to get an upgraded room at Shangri-La but the standard room at Imperial was nearly as good. Food, service and amenities at both were outstanding. If you have children the water park at Imperial would make it the better choice. If it’s you and your special friend then for sure Shangri-La is the place to go. The buffet was slightly better at Imperial but the outdoor beach seafood buffet at Shangri-La was the best I have seen anyplace. Marco Polo has the best buffet in the City but both Mactan resorts better them somewhat. The only problem I had was attempting to not notice all the young Korean ladies in very small swim attire. Although I have never been to Cebu, I appreciate the heads up on where to stay around the city. I also have that "problem" of not noticing the string bikinis. My pair of binoculars permanently super glued brings out the vivid colors which puts them up close and personal. Any suggestion for lens anti-fog treatment due to my breathing too hard??DOM forever -- Jake

Forum Support Old55 Posted November 6, 2010 Author Forum Support Posted November 6, 2010 Interesting observation. I think this may warrant closer examination during my next visit.“Not to worry dear it’s OK…. I’m doing some research for the forum” The only problem I had was attempting to not notice all the young Korean ladies in very small swim attire. Mr Lee Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 Also no guts :as-if: OK that one I am not sure how to take, but I will assume you mean no abdomen since we would never wish to insult any race, yet you are our Korean specialist since you live there for the time being. Spot on... I meant abdomen. I tried to copy and paste a picture of a woman with a big gut off google, but couldn't get it to work. I'll have to request the services of Inspector in that regard. I'm a big fan of his avatars. (note: If you've seen the latest, I once lost control and did the same thing by accident). In fairness to the opinion of Fil/Am Art, he's right, there's a lot lacking on the Korean body at times. Thank god their plastic surgeons are improving every day.
