And yet another wanted person bites the dust. THE National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested in Gingoog an American wanted in the US for sexually abusing his own grandchild.The American, identified as Earl Hansen, was caught in Gingoog City last Thursday but the NBI only made it known yesterday.The NBI said Hansen has long been wanted in Tennessee for incest. A US court had ordered him arrested. Hansen was arrested by NBI agents in Barangay 26, Gingoog City in Misamis Oriental after weeks of surveillance. An NBI record showed that Hansen was seen weeks ago in Iligan City where he reportedly lived for a while. His arrest came after he decided to move to Gingoog, a component city of Misamis Oriental. NBI agents arrested Hansen in coordination with the US State Department's Diplomatic Security Service. A NBI official who requested anonymity said Hansen was wanted for allegedly taking advantage of his own granddaughter.Hansen was brought to a immigration holding facility in Taguig pending deportation. In January, two Americans were also arrested here for allegedly taking advantage of girls over half their ages. One of the suspected child offenders, James Robert Naquin, has a child sex abuse case before the Regional Trial Court-Branch 37. A court hearing has reportedly been scheduled this week. The other, James Leon Edler, has a similar case at before the RTC-Branch 19. Edler has denied taking advantage of any child but authorities arrested him because the hotel room where Naquin was caught was his (Edler's).The original story HERE
