Jollygoodfellow Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Took a bit of a drive around the neighborhood, only got a few pictures as bit of traffic jam in some streets as people were evacuating. My Suburb is not on the flood list but I found different once I drove around, this is only the early stages as the peak comes tomorrow. First had to stop for fuel Then had a look where I used to live

Mr Lee Posted January 12, 2011 Author Posted January 12, 2011 Braddo and Tom (Boss Man) I sure hope the rain there stops or at least lets up until some of the ground can soak it up. I would also hope the rains could move over to the area of Australia that is now having fires because they could sure use some there. Mother nature sure seems furious at the people of the world because she is punishing a lot of them and it seems good people like yourselves have to suffer for no apparent reason. My heart goes out to all that have felt her wrath, but even more so to those of you who I know in person, and that I know do not deserve what she is tossing your way. Heres hoping for better days ahead.
Forum Support Old55 Posted January 12, 2011 Forum Support Posted January 12, 2011 Watching the news tonight and my heart goes out to those living in the path of the floodwaters. Be safe guys.
Mr Lee Posted January 12, 2011 Author Posted January 12, 2011 Just reading the news HERE and the photos really drive this home, that it is more than people should have to deal with. Floods killing people, Birds, Fish and now crickets dying and it sure seems like something is amiss in the current world.
Braddo Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 ]My wife and I are ok we are lucky to be away from the main floods but I heard on the news tonight that on Australia day that is the 24th or around that date they are expecting a Cyclone or Typhoon same sameIf that happens away we go again with flooding, over 75% of Queensland is flooded now, crops ,live stock, all gone so prices will soon be going sky highThe photo of Australia shows water levels in December it is much worse now but I cant find an updated one to give you an idea of how much rain we have had across the country not just Queensland:SugarwareZ-034:
Inspector Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 That shet is just crazy....it looks like a tidal wave, cars being swept away like a piece of paper in a tornado. I'm glad you guys are ok...I was hearing 70 plus people are missing, and as you said Braddo...all crops are gone. :signnvm:
