ekimswish Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 Looks like Baguio's the place to go if you want to work full time for $500/month. At the same time, this is a huge opportunity for the PI. Who cares about standards?! They're teaching Koreans..... NOT FILIPINOS! I've taught ESL for the last 7 years and NO ONE cares about standards. Still, the PI is a great place to learn English because other asians have an easier time speaking in the PI than in America or other Western countries. Around white people they're shy to make mistakes. Around Asians, they speak more English, and improve more. They can also afford many more hours of tutoring, which is cash it the Pinoys' hands. Anyways, it's a big business, and it's only Koreans studying. and Filipinos getting paid..... make it easier for them. Simplify the laws, and it's all good.
