Latest Legacy hide the money game. This island in time could become a huge vacation destination. IMO Leyte is much overlooked, especially the southern Sogod Bay area.Palompon town Letye, Kalanggaman Island land grab

I have a friend who is well up to speed on this matter as his family has P1M on deposit with one of the rural banks. He tells me that they have been communicative and the process for paying out the time deposit accounts started today. From what he has told me along with what I just read, they seem to be wading through the matter relatively well given the horrific circumstances and tangled web.The big discrepancy in the number of qualified accounts has to do with the origin of the funds in said accounts. Some accounts were funded through less than proper ways and many were roll overs of interest payments that had not not been documented properly or were in fact multiple accounts by the same person.

Doesn't sound good for expat deposits:-http://businessmirror.com.ph/home/top-news...s-doubtful.html
 to investors. I am sure that the PDIC will find ways to not have to pay a lot of the claims, mainly because they do not have enough money to pay all the claims for Legacy and future failures and because this after all is the Philippines. :th_exactly:

Hmmmm.... didn't I just read a post in which you suggested a lessening of negativity about the Philippines? Construct a well-known phrase or saying using the following words: Pot, Kettle, Black.

No, I think you again missed my point and I thought I was clear on the lessening of the negativity when someone post a help topic or someone asks a question and others decide to insult it or tear it apart rather than post a better suggestion. Negativity about the Philippines IMO is quite normal and I am sure it will continue until things get cleared up here (if ever) and I do not believe in sugar coating anything. I like to tell it like it is and post both the good and the bad, but again, many poster feel the need to tear down an idea or suggestion, without offering a better one.Ahhh, and did I say   :th_exactly: Edited by Mr. Lee
