Mr Lee Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Please, lets see if we can discuss this like adults without getting into the republican/democrat bs that some like to push. I see discussion about thing such as this on other forums and it seems they can do it, so I feel we should be able to as well. This is not about parties or even who is president, or even which country this is happening in, this to me is about govt hiding things from the public, so why do you think that they feel they are above the law to do that? What do they have to hide? How many other govt's do the same thing? Does the govt of your home country hide things from their citizens, so is this a world wide problem? once promised that negotiations over his health care overhaul would be carried out openly, in front of TV cameras and microphones. Tell that to the White House now. The complete story HERE
Art2ro Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 (edited) That's the main reason why I brought up my Topic "Are you prepared for a catastrophic illness"? It's the #1 concern of most people living anywhere, because the cost of health care can make or break anyone financially if one has no or adequate medical insurance coverage and or even though one has a sizable nest egg, which may not be enough in the long run! What we, the retired military members are going throught with our TRICARE health care system problems we face presently is what some of you in the private sector are facing now while the Obama health care scheme is still under appeal and uncertain where the money will be coming from to subsidize certain medical heath care services and at what cost, because it is getting to the point now where a larger percentage of the cost will be put on the shoulders of the patients! And what's even more frustrating is hospital administrators, doctors, pharmacies and medical specialists are taking advantage of the public in what they can charge maximum on one's medical bills or insurance premiums verses what one's insurance policy is willing to pay for in services rendered! One maybe holding the bag of unpaid for bills that medical health insurance companies are not willing to pay for, especially if one is residing overseas where one's medical insurance will only reimburse you only 70 to 80% of the total cost if you are lucky to get that! So, you're SOL! So, my question is, why is all the decision making or process sort of behind closed doors? The public has to know what's going on with their future concerning their health insurance weather or not it will make or break us financially!
