There are people always getting robbed carrying lots of cash on them. Why do people carry so much cash on them. They deserve to lose it all. I have to wonder if they recently came into the country and declared the large amount they were carrying, because if not then they broke the law, or they withdrew that amount from a local bank and thus either way became targets who were followed until a convenient time to rob them came about, which made it look like they themselves were not targeted. Either way, as you said, why the hell would anyone carry that much money in a country where that might mean a lifetimes earnings, or many lifetimes for the average local or in this case a whole group of locals. KansasBlaster Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 You know as a former naval service member, back in the day where we partied more than worked I have bar crawled just about around the world. I learned to break up my cash into equal amounts and put it into every crevice, socks, shoes, crotch pouch etc. Empty out your pockets so they see you are empty, give them a decoy wallet with cancelled/old credit cards and 20 one dollar bills. You can get stabbed for not having anything to rob you for. Today, I wear nothing-----------nothing, not even a wedding ring. I do have a very-very potent pepper spray-very potent!!!!!!!! Get caught in the Phil for that? They can't even catch their own criminalsThat kind of cash, why a bus and not a Taxi ? Don't go out after dark if possible. Do your business EARLY ! ! Transfer money using western union-xoom others. Cities suck period ! High concentrations of the good the bad and the ugly............

I feel sorry for the senior couple from France however. They were probably already "marked"upon arrival at the airport and it was just a matter of timing (remote highway/bus nearly empty) to make the hit. You wouldthink that alerts will go out to all banks about someone exchanging Euro dollars. But unfortunately, the investigating teammay want a piece of the action.Welcome aboard -- Jake Edited March 20, 2011 by Jake korrect my Englesh agin
