Yesterday, 60 percent of processing equipment was already in place in the landfill and scavengers hired for waste processing began their training. Naga City Mayor Valdemar Chiong yesterday said Cebu City can set up a facility in barangay Pangdan, Naga City to accommodate the overwhelming amount of garbage.“Yes, they can dispose their garbage here, but we need time to set up the facility,” Chiong said.Chiong said Rama approached him during the signing of the Metro Cebu Development Coordination Board last week to ask if Naga City would accept Cebu City’s trash.“I told him that we would welcome it,” Chiong said.
