I can understand the reward to help solve this crime.as murder is a very serious offense,,since its a local official why botherSure someone can use the reward ., who doesnt need 2Million pesos..maybe allowing it to be unsolved, this family may get the hint , that there time is over ,Allow another person who can bring "real change" to this community :541: .( these families run the communities like "kingdoms" the daddy is mayor. mother is chairman of xxxxx. Juan is barrio head. Juanette is on the city board.. Uncle ,Aunt is and the cousins are in other positions if not in city A then in City B. , when Daddy mayor 3 terms is over, Mother or son runs for office...)

I admit to knowing nothing about this mayor who was murdered, so my comments are not meant to offend anyone. I do agree that the problem is made worse for all, (just as I said in a previous thread) if the same people or families hold all the power! As I stated this is suppose to be a democracy and therefore some rules (by the gov. who are the very people who are abusing the power) about family members in local or national politics might help.If in fact the entire family have positions in local Gov. I am surprised that the current President is so keen to help defend this person. What little I know of him, would lead me to believe that he wants to get rid of this kind of thing...... what am I saying? Where does he come from?Why is it that in the Philippines the same families continually run things? Maybe the answer lies in the confusing information or lack of information given to the general public?I'm not saying he deserved to die, however if nepotism continually goes unchecked what do you expect?Papa Carl
