Philippine President Sells His Porsche

MANILA, Philippines (AP) — Philippine President Benigno Aquino III says he has sold his Porsche because it has become a security risk — and not because of criticism that it was inappropriate for a leader of a poor country.Critics say the 50-year-old bachelor president's $102,000 thirdhand sports car is a sign of insensitivity.Aquino told reporters Tuesday he sold the car for the same price he bought it.But he said that too much news reports and commentaries about the car have made it "an advertisement that, 'Hey, here I am."He said he felt vulnerable in the Porsche and so he relegated it to the garage where it would just deteriorate.
