Seiko2 Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 I am a new member of the forum and joined hoping to get various information needed about moving to the Philippines. So far, afwhichter reading through so many threads, the information has been abundant. What I need now is any advice regarding a recommended company in the Dallas Fort Worth area to ship Balikbyana boxes. The ultimate destination will be Ormoc City. I understand many of you would not want to recommend, but may be willing to relate a good or bad experience with a particular company. Any first hand information would be helpful.

MikeB Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 I moved here in May and used LBC to ship 3 boxes, including a 46in HDTV (in original carton) and 21 speed bike door to door from Florida to Consalacion. Took a little less then 60 days. They didn't box the bike, just taped the pedals and docs to the frame. Everything arrived in good condition except 1 fragile item that I didn't sufficiently protect. The boxes were not opened by US or Philippine customs after being sealed by LBC. They are based in Calif and do not have an office in Fl but gave me the name and # of their agent in Jacksonville and he picked up and shipped. I was able to track the item and they responded quickly and professionally to my email queries. I recommend them, you can see if the same service is available in Tx, or near DFW. I used to live in that area.

MikeB Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 I didn't notice that the 2 companies were based in Tx so it would make sense to deal with them.
