Mr Lee Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Busy day in the news, so this guy brings her from the Philippines to the US with promises of marriage and then a month later they are still not married but they have obviously been having sex. So it would seem that both sides get scammed at times. PORT TOWNSEND, Washington – An American man has been charged with raping a 22-year-old woman he lured from the Philippines with the promise of marriage. The Peninsula Daily News reported that 48-year-old Patrick John McAllister was released on $100,000 bond after his Aug. 5 arrest. He is scheduled to be arraigned Friday on 41 counts of rape and sexual assault.McAllister’s lawyer, Lance Hester, says he will plead not guilty.Investigators say McAllister was introduced to the woman by a relative, visited her in 2008 and later told her he wanted to marry her. She arrived in March 2010 and was brought to McAllister’s home. She said she was raped and assaulted for more than a month until she escaped. The investigation took more than a year because of language difficulties. Dave Hounddriver Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 Sounds like one of those cases where the filipina goes to the US and gets 'filled in' on her rights by all her new friends. There is no filipina in the Philippines that would move in with her fiance and expect NO sex.
Call me bubba Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 I had read on ANOTHER FORUM, i think an legal one. that this occurs often, although not widely reported.they "claim" rape or other abuse to Facilitate to obtain a "resident status" much quicker, and they dont have to marry the "old fart"(sorry for that choice but.....) .. Yes some of these "women" are very smart, they know the rules ,better than their "husband"its like a "BLACK WIDOW" but in a different form, :) has any other forum members seen or heard about this issue before? There is no filipina in the Philippines that would move in with her fiance and expect NO sex. Well since it took a year because of the language barrier to investigate who knows what he/she thought the terms were and since the story is so short it looks like I wrote it so maybe there is a lot missing. And since he has been charged one would think that the law feels like it has a legitimate case. Why is it every time a westerner is accused off rape by a Filipina all westerns jump on the bandwagon to blame the Filipina. I dont agree with your statement that no Filipina would move in with a fiancee and not expect sex before marriage, virginity and marriage still hold values to many Filipinas. Of course it is normal that we should disagree from time to time. I met a filipina who believed her virginity held value. She wanted 30K pesos for it. For fun I tried to bargain her down to 3K but she said her parents were firm at 30K. I should also add that I know the American who 'bought' it from her 1.5 years later for 1500 pesos. The value of it appears to go down with time. And just to counter your argument, I find most westerners are a lot of bleeding hearts who believe everything the girl says. Like the courts who charged to guy. Maybe the judge thinks she came to the US to play bingo with the man in the Catholic church there. Yep, I'm a realistist. I should also add that I know the American who 'bought' it from her 1.5 years later for 1500 pesos. The value of it appears to go down with time. My thinking as weird as it often is, I have to wonder if she sold it for 30k, and then how many times she sold it for less and less, until she finally got down to the 1500 pesos. Hmmm, she could have made lots of money that way, might be a better answer than working in a bar. :) Lets face it guys, there are many guys who have never had a virgin in their whole lives, so they probably would never know the difference when she complains it hurts and acts like it is the first time. hmmm,,,, look at how this case against that french guy in New York is turning out. As for DSK, I am not 100% sure he is not guilty since there has been others who have complained about him, but since she has a sordid past, and because she decided to try to make money from the alleged incident, her credibility for a prosecution is gone, so they decided to not prosecute because they would probably lose, but that does not mean he did not do it.
