Mr Lee Posted August 29, 2011 Author Posted August 29, 2011 Okay, I've had it! Please note that I DID indicate that I would try to get the information to the authorities, but it would have to be anonymously. Geez! I thought I was pretty clear that I excluded Robert in my rant, but in case something I wrote made it seem like I was including him, I want to publicly apologize to Robert, because at no time was my comments directed at him. My anger is with those who have the attitude of doing nothing, because they think nothing will happen if they do (Robert clearly said he would at least try), to me the others have a defeatist attitude and I do not easily give up. IMHO the main thing that will happen if someone at least tries to get the info to the govt via channels, is that the person who had that info can wake up and look themselves in the mirror knowing they at least tried. If everyone takes the attitude that nothing will get done, so why bother, then the Philippines will only get worse instead of better. As I quoted in a post above Edmund Burke "All that is required for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing." -
Mr Lee Posted August 29, 2011 Author Posted August 29, 2011 Here is a person who might be worth contacting with info on serious miscarriages of justices or crimes. The main point to this post is to show that those with their eyes open can find places to give info because there are many good news organizations and people who would love to crack a case that the police supposedly screwed up on.Ramon Tulfo good Samaritan foundation As an action-oriented program, stories in "Isumbong" will either be complaints-based or initiated by the show's own investigative team. Either way, the program will not merely skim the surface of a story but probe deep to gain insights to awaken social consciousness and citizen responsibility, and uplift the human spirit. Mr Lee Posted September 14, 2011 Author Posted September 14, 2011 Here is yet another opportunity for someone to come forward and complain if they feel this couple is being persecuted, or possibly if they have information that might indicate that someone other than the couple did the crime. Maybe if their lawyer asks for the chief to review the case, possibly something will be done. PNP chief to personally attend to complaints The Philippine National Police’s new chief, Nick Bartolome, will accept complaints from ordinary citizens against abusive policemen if the cops’ superiors don’t discipline them.Bartolome made the announcement when I interviewed him on my program TNT (Target ni Tulfo) at Radyo Inquirer-DZIQ on Monday.Bartolome said he would entertain complaints against corrupt and abusive cops when aggrieved citizens are ignored by police authorities.
