Mr Lee Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 You can bet money that if the guy was just an American, then he would have been shipped out ASAP, so Filipino Americans have a leg up when back in their home country, and probably rightfully so. Also, I guess black widows may come in both sexes. Appellate court junks US extradition bidThe Court of Appeals has rejected the US request for the extradition of a Filipino-American restaurant owner who is facing trial in the Supreme Court of California, for allegedly conspiring to kill his wife to claim $300,000 in life insurance. The court’s 8th division through Associate Justice Apolinario Bruselas Jr. stressed that the US government did not present evidence to support its claim that Abelardo Tasa, alias Larry Abena, conspired with certain Timothy Shawn Victor and Jose Daniel Flores, to make it appear that his wife, Rebecca, was killed during a burglary in their residence at 11507 Green Lane, Lakeside, California. I dont know about that as it was clear the US did not give any real evidence to warrant an extradition so maybe the Philippines is just following the same procedures as other country's would.

Forum Support Old55 Posted August 26, 2011 Forum Support Posted August 26, 2011 Dave, that story made big news here too. Truly a vendetta against the guy because here in Washington State what he did was a traffic ticket. No not a trafficking ticket.
